In writing content for SwordSTEM I often end up with ideas, or tangents, that force me to remind myself “this isn’t a coaching blog”. The standard I (try) to hold myself to when writing for SwordSTEM is: if I am wrong there is clear evidence to show it.
The scientific method is reliable, but fast and cheap it is not. And there is a ton of expertise in the training and experience wrapped up in HEMA instructors; expertise that wouldn’t meet a rigorous definition of ‘STEM’. Which is what SwordSTUFF is for, so I can share insights as a coach rather than a STEM enthusiast. And I offer this as a home for other quality instructors to post content that they are also willing to share with the community.
